{"id":3249,"date":"2011-07-05T13:53:04","date_gmt":"2011-07-05T13:53:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.faceofmalawi.com\/?p=3249"},"modified":"2011-07-05T13:53:04","modified_gmt":"2011-07-05T13:53:04","slug":"mighty-warriors-wallop-malawi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.faceofmalawi.com\/index.php\/2011\/07\/05\/mighty-warriors-wallop-malawi\/","title":{"rendered":"Mighty Warriors wallop Malawi | Malawi 2 Zimbabwe 8"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div id=\"article\">\n<div id=\"articlecontent\">\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3266\" title=\"gallery33\" src=\"http:\/\/www.faceofmalawi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/gallery33.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Striker Rufaro Machingura bagged a staggering five goals as the Mighty Warriors thumped hapless Malawi 8-2 in their second match of the Cosafa Women Championship on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>With Fifa President Sepp Blatter in attendance, the Zimbabweans put up an enthralling performance before a packed Rufaro Stadium.<\/p>\n<p>Machingura opened the scoring for the hosts as early as the eighth minute, only for Malawi skipper Linda Kasenda to equalise 10 minutes later.<\/p>\n<p>Nokhutula Ndlovu put Zimbabwe back in front almost immediately, but Kasenda again brought Malawi back on level terms with another equaliser two minutes later.<\/p>\n<p>Talent Mandaza scored Zimbabwe\u2019s third goal with a stunning long range effort on 27 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Ndlovu got her second two minutes later as Zimbabwe went to the break with a 4-2 lead.<\/p>\n<p>Machingura then hogged the limelight in the second half with four more goals as the Mighty Warriors underlined their status as one of the tournament\u2019s favourites.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am very happy that I scored five goals.
