\"\"Malawi national netball (Queens)\u00a0 coach Edith Kaliati has expressed satisfaction with her team\u2019s preparation for the upcoming World Championship in Singapore next month after the new-look squad beat Uganda 54-48 baskets on Saturday before beating them 48-45 \u00a024-hour later at College of Medicine Sports Complex and Blantyre Youth Centre respectively.<\/p>\n

The results come after another back-to-back wins in a friendly against Botswana last week.<\/p>\n

The Queens are preparing for the World Netball Championship to take place in Singapore from July 3-10 with the Malawi Queens in pool D together with England, Barbados and Malaysia.<\/p>\n

In both matches, shooter Sindi \u2018Sniper\u2019 Simutowe was toast of the day as she played with her lungs out together with up and coming Joyce Mvula.<\/p>\n

Simutowe netted most of the baskets, that netball followers predicted that her combination with Australian based Mwayi \u2018Professor\u2019 Kumwenda will be a force to reckon with.<\/p>\n

Joyful Phiri, a netball fan, who watched Sunday\u2019s encounter said: \u201c Sindi is a marvel to watch because of her scoring skills and l have no doubt that with Mwayi they will form a good partnership.\u201d<\/p>\n

There\u00a0 was also a display of good skills \u00a0from Grace \u2018Pincord\u2019 Mwafulirwa, Towera \u2018Tobe\u2019 Vinkhumbo, Beatrice Kadango, Bridget Kumwenda and no nonsense netballer Caroline \u2018Ayuda\u2019 Ngwira.<\/p>\n

The Queens coach, Edith Kaliati was delighted with her players and promised to progress through in their pool.<\/p>\n

The tournament will be held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium from July 3 to 10.<\/p>\n

Malawi is ranked number seven in the world while South Africa is number six. Botswana is ranked 18 in the world and third in Africa.<\/p>\n
