{"id":2515,"date":"2011-06-07T11:48:32","date_gmt":"2011-06-07T11:48:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.faceofmalawi.com\/?p=2515"},"modified":"2011-06-07T11:48:32","modified_gmt":"2011-06-07T11:48:32","slug":"star-marley-cuts-second-album","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.faceofmalawi.com\/index.php\/2011\/06\/07\/star-marley-cuts-second-album\/","title":{"rendered":"Star Marley cuts second album"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.faceofmalawi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/Current-Music-300x239.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Current-Music\" width=\"300\" height=\"239\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-2516\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Malawi\u2019s  dancehall artist Star Marley has sprouted from four years of silence to release  his second album, <em>Dziko la Pansi. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>He released  <em>Njenjenje<\/em> after the death of his brother Vic Marley in  2005.<\/p>\n<p>He said it  had taken him nearly a decade to produce the 15-track album because he did not  just want to release the album.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I wanted to  come up with something mature, something that should live on, not the bubble gum  type that you hear on the radio these days,&#8221; said the artist, adding the latest  release tackles a number of social issues affecting the youth in the  country.<\/p>\n<p>The themes  include HIV and Aids, the plight of street children and Malawians&#8217;  survival.<\/p>\n<p>All the  songs are written by the <em>Njenjenje<\/em> star and were recorded at Andrew  Phiri&#8217;s Shooting Star, DJ Sonye&#8217;s Baseline Studios, and Drug T&#8217;s Tamandani  Records.
