The sixth season of Big Brother styled  Big Brother Africa Amplified in Johannesburg Sunday night.<\/p>\n<p>As first revealed by <em>Nyasa Times<\/em>, 27-year-old Tendai Namate, a Power 101 FM DJ (DJ Lomwe) was unveiled as one of the housemates.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_33779\"><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-33779\" href=\"http:\/\/www.faceofmalawi.com\/?attachment_id=33779\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" title=\"Felicia-Malawi\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nyasatimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/Felicia-Malawi.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"265\" height=\"230\" \/><\/a>Felicia: Malawian housemate<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>However, first to enter the house before DJ Lomwe was surprisingly a Malawian female contestant from Lilongwe, Felicia.<\/p>\n<p>Felicia,  who is in a relationship, has a 4 year-old child and says she entered  Big Brother Amplified to represent her country, to do her part in making  her country proud and to change her life and the lives of many others.<\/p>\n<p>She told DStv website that she will entertain with her dancing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey  will learn a life of a true Malawian lady,\u201d she says. If she wins,  she\u2019ll get a roof over her head, donate to charity and \u201cinvest in  something that will keep my life going to reach my goals\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Her motto is: \u201cLive life to the fullest \u2013 make hay while the sun still shines\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>DJ  Lomwe was the last housemate to be unveiled. He entered the house as  the old and popular Malawian flag was the one exhibited, representing  the two Malawian representatives.<\/p>\n<p>The radio DJ said he wants to \u201cexpose my talent on the biggest platform on the continent\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Lomwe said show business \u201cis my nature\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>He  told DStv: \u201cI have charisma and a great sense of humour, I like to have  a lot of fun with my life \u2013 plus I am quite handsome.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Should he win, he will open his own media business (a radio station) and visit his little brother in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>His  role model is BBC Radio 1 presenter Chris Moyles because he inspired  Lomwe to pursue a career where all he can do is be himself. His proudest  achievement is his radio career: \u201ca lot of people thought I wouldn\u2019t  get far without a normal office job, but I\u2019m proving them wrong daily\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The  best advice he ever received is \u201cfirst you get the money, then you get  the power \u2013 then you get the money\u201d courtesy of Tony Montana in the  movie Scarface. He dislikes people who gossip, hypocrites and people who  can\u2019t take a joke.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-33780\" href=\"http:\/\/www.faceofmalawi.com\/?attachment_id=33780\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\"lomwe\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nyasatimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/lomwe.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"325\" height=\"265\" \/><\/a>Last  year\u2019s winner was Nigerian Uti Nwachukwu while Meryl Shikwambane and  Mwisho Mwampamba got engaged during the show and are now married.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s winner walks away with $200 000.<\/p>\n<p>There  are 14 participating countries: Angola, Botswana, Ethiopia, Ghana,  Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania,  Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. \u2013 (<em>Reporting by Judith Moyo, Nyasa Times)<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Malawi has two representatives in the Africa\u2019s most popular reality TV series, Big Brother Africa.
