Police in Chiradzulu have arrested five women, suspected to have damaged a house belonging to 79-year-old man who is accused of practicing witchcraft.
Chiradzulu Police Spokesperson Innocent Moses has confirmed of the arrest in an interview with the press.
According to Moses,the suspects will answer the charge of malicious damage.
The five are Ellen Pensulo 74, Sellina Malenga 20, Alinane Mpulura 25, Esther Eferemu 51 and Dorothy Mulenga 30.
It is reported that the suspects stormed the victim’s residence after one of their children revealed that the victim was teaching the child witchcraft, further accusing him of bewitching his nephew.
