A 15-year-old girl in grade 6 at Mbang’ombe school died after being struck by lightning yesterday in Nsanje district.
Nsanje police spokesperson Agnes Zalakoma said Elizabeth Jiwa met with the tragedy when she was fetching water around 3 o’clock in the village of Mbang’ombe.
Mr. Zalakoma said the results of the hospital confirmed that Elizabeth died due to lightning.
