Police in Kasungu District have arrested Daniel Paudala, a security guard at the Lisasadzi Agricultural Extension Office, on suspicion of stealing washing machines and other items worth close to K5 million from the office.
According to Kasungu Police Deputy Spokesperson Miracle Hauli, the thefts occurred on December 22 and 28, during a period when employees were on holiday.
Hauli stated that on December 28, the office’s agricultural extension officer, Patrick Lungu, discovered a break-in and reported the missing items to the police.
Following investigations, police apprehended Paudala, who hails from Bondo Village, under Senior Chief Kaomba in Kasungu. He is expected to appear in court soon to face charges
