Death has been announced of one of the catholic members identified Noella Silizeni from Zomba diocese.
The Episcopal Conference of Malawi (ECM) has confirmed of the development in a statement made available to this publication.
According to ECM, Silizeni died while in transit from Karonga Diocese where she was attending the Annual General Meeting of the Catholic Women Association.
“We regret to inform you that we have lost one of our dedicated CWA members, Noella Silizeni, from the Catholic Diocese of Zomba.
“She passed away while returning from the National Annual General Meeting in Karonga, near Phwezi, where upon feeling unwell she was receiving first aid…,” reads part of the statement.
