An 18-year-old boy, Gregorio Gondwe, died after being hit by a car at Kamilaza on the Jenda-Kasungu M1 road over the weekend, in Kasungu district.
The deputy spokesman for the police in the district, Miracle Hauli said that the accident involved a Toyata Sienta LL 14432 car driven by Mr. Deus Kamanga.
“Kamanga, he was coming from Jenda and was going to Kasungu but when he arrived at the place, he failed to steer the car and hit the deceased and Blessings Gama who was on a paddle bike,” said Mr. Hauli.
well-wishers rushed the two to the Nkhamenya hospital but Gondwe died while receiving medical treatment but due to a severe head injury.
Gondwe comes from the village of the Kachaso chief Mnyanja in Kasungu district.
