A young woman who works as a mobile money transfer agent in Kasungu District is in battling life after taking pesticides.
It is reported that the woman took the drastic action after allegedly losing K100,000 through theft.
The incident occurred this morning in Chiteyeye, under the authority of Senior Chief Kaomba, according to local resident Henry Phiri, who informed the media of the situation.
Community members quickly intervened, rushing her to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment.
Kasungu Police spokesperson Joseph Kachikho has requested time to investigate the incident further before providing an official statement.
