A man from Namwala District, Southern Province in Zambia, has been fatally stabbed over an unpaid K50,000 “compensation” demanded by the husband of a woman with whom he allegedly had an illicit affair.
Sempule Mweemba, from Nakamboma Village in Chief Nalubamba’s area, allegedly stabbed Bright Namachila in the chest and back with a spear after Namachila failed to pay the full amount charged for the affair. Namachila had only managed to pay K2,000 of the demanded amount before Mweemba reportedly decided to take matters into his own hands.
Southern Province Deputy Police Commanding Officer, Moono Namalongo, confirmed the incident, which occurred last Friday around 4:30 PM in Nakamboma Village. Police are investigating the case.
