One child has died and three others have been admitted to Nkhotakota District Hospital after consuming food they bought from a local restaurant in Nkhotakota district.
The incident has happened at Chikapa village the area of Traditional Authority Mphonde in the district who has confirmed the sad development.
However, Nkhotakota police spokesperson, Paul Malimwe, said that results from the hospital’s examination of the deceased child’s body revealed that the death was not caused by the food they ate.
“It was a natural death because the hospital found no traces of poison after examining the body. As for those admitted, you may want to ask the hospital for more details,” Said Malimwe.
