Police in Nsanje have launched a manhunt for unknown assailants who threw a 7-year-old girl and a 2-year-old boy into a pit, seriously injuring them.
Nsanje police publicist, Agnes Zalakoma said the two children were allegedly thrown into the 50-meter-deep pit this morning at Nyachilenda Railway Bridge.
The mother of the children was reportedly at home when she got the news that unknown people had thrown the children into the pit.”
The children, were found with serious head injuries and they were taken to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre.
