MANEB suspends marking of MSCE exams at St Mary’s Secondary School

The Malawi National Examination Board (MANEB) has suspended marking of this year’s Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examination at St. Mary’s Secondary School in Zomba.

MANEB has also closed down the marking centre, faceofmalawi can reveal.

The development follows a strike by the teachers marking the exams due to what the teachers called inhuman behavior displayed MANEB by not honouring refund of transport.

The teachers claimed that the marking area is infested with bedbugs, and teachers are being fed rotten buns and meat.

Due to the standoff MANEB has shutdown the examination centre and ordered all markers to vacate the centre by 10 am today.
