The opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has shifted its elective conference from Saturday to Sunday, 18 2024.
Chairperson of the elective conference Dr. George Chaponda has confirmed of the development in a media briefing currently underway in Blantyre.
Chaponda said Saturday will be used for delegates and media accreditation.
According to Chaponda, the move has been done to give delegates traveling from the Northern region enough time since they will be arriving on Saturday morning.
Chaponda has also revealed that the former President Peter Mutharika and Jappie Mhango will go unopposed at the elective conference.
