A 48 year old man is in Police custody in Chikwawa for allegedly being found in possession of a live pangolin without permission from the wildlife department.
Chikwawa Police Public Relations Officer Sergeant Dickson Matemba has confirmed of the arrest of George Nkuzi.
According to Matemba, the law enforces acted on a tip from well-wishers that the suspect was keeping a live pangolin in his home.
The law enforcers together with officers from Lengwe National park raided the house and found the live pangolin in his custody.
The suspect will appear in court soon.
