Police in Lilongwe have arrested a 58-year-old man, Daud Milanzi, for being found in possession of medical drugs without permit.
Deputy Central West Region Police spokesperson Foster Benjamin has told the press that the arrest was made this morning at Kapirj Trading Centre in Mchinji, where Milanzi was selling the drugs.
According to Benjamin, the suspect was found with assorted medical drugs including LA, Amoxicillin, Brufen and Gentamicin worth over K4 million.
The drugs have since been confiscated and sent to the Pharmacy and Medicines Regularly Authority for analysis.
