A 14-year-old Grade 8 pupil at Namwala Central Secondary School in Zambia who was reported missing by her grandmother on May 31, 2024, has turned up, revealing that she was at her boyfriend’s house.
And following her return, the grandmother reported the alleged boyfriend only identified as Musa, to Police for defilement on June 4, 2024.
The two are said to have been in a relationship for a while, with the boyfriend accused of buying and giving beer to the girl.
The girl had been reported missing both at School and at the Police, hence when she showed up at the former, the Head-teacher informed her grandmother, who then went to get her and took her to the Police.
It was there where she opened up that she was with the boyfriend all the days she went missing.
Southern Province Commissioner of Police, Auxensio Daka, indicated that no arrest had been made yet, while a Medical Report Form was issued to the girl, with a docket opened.
