The body of Major Wales Aidin is expected to be buried today at his home village, Chiwalo, in Senior Chief Nankumba’s area in Mangochi District.
People from different places are gathering to pay their last respects to Aidin, who died in a military plane crash on Monday in Mzimba alongside nine others, including Vice-President Saulos Chilima.
His brother, Omega Mlelemba, described Aidin’s death as a big loss, as he was the strong pillar of their family.
Until his death, Aidin was an aeroplane technician. He died at the age of 43 and is survived by a wife and four children.
