Thyolo police conducted a sweeping exercise in villages around Ndalama, Magombo, and Nchiramwera to reduce criminal activities.
Eleven individuals were arrested for various offenses, including possession of stolen macadamia nuts, cannabis sativa, operating unlicensed liquor shops, and counterfeit currency.
The arrests were part of a larger effort by law enforcement to crack down on crime in the region.
Thyolo police spokesperson, Sergeant Rabecca Kashoti, confirmed the arrests and highlighted the significance of the operation.
The suspects are expected to appear before court soon to face charges related to their alleged crimes.
