A man identified as Kuwana Lampiyawo, aged 44, has found dead yesterday evening along the Phanga river banks in Nsanje district.
Spokesperson for Nsanje Police, Sub Inspector Agnes Zalakoma, has confirmed the development and said a brother of the deceased, Rodrick Lampiyawo, reported the incident to police.
“It is reported that on March 14, 2024, Kuwana left home for the Tanga bottle store to drink opaque beer but never returned home and was found dead today in a decomposed state.”
According to Sub-Inspector Zalakoma, the postmortem indicates he succumbed to low blood sugar.
