Former Minister of Finance Joseph Mwanamveka has been appointed as Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) spokesperson on finance in the August House.
Mwanamveka replaces Ralph Jooma who was then appointed on the post by the leader of opposition Kondwani Nankhumwa.
The former Minister of Finance has confirmed of the development and he has since promised constructive criticisms to the Tonse Alliance government.
The development means that Mwanamveka will be the one who will respond to the budget statement which the Minister of Finance is scheduled to table in the house this coming Friday.
