Media Institute of Southern Africa (Misa) Malawi Facebook Page has been restored as it was compromised by some unknown people.
According to a statement released by Misa the page has been recovered and they have thanked all the stakeholders that took part in the restoration process.
“We would like to thank colleagues at Malawi Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) and MISA Regional Office for supporting our efforts to recover the site. We also thank you all for your understanding,” reads part of the statement.
On 23 January 2024 the page was hacked by unknown individuals who were posting content that does not align with MISA Malawi’s core values such as nude pictures.
