Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has announced that 2024 local football season is set to kick-off on 30th March 2024 with NBS Bank Charity Shield and then TNM Super League on 6 April 2024.
The development has been revered following, FAM executive committee meeting which was held at Sunbird Nkopola in Mangochi district on 27 January 2024.
According to FAM, the local football calendar is to be revised to align with Confederation of African Football (CAF) football calendar.
The delegates also discussed that they will settle all verified arrears amounting MK 800 million with the priority in payment being Scorchers Cosafa Cup allowances and Flames CAF allowances.
However, the domestic football transfer has been opened and super league teams are making new signings to strengthen their squads ahead of the 2024 football season.
