Former National Director of Women in the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Cecilia Chazama has said she is still member of the former governing party.
Chazama said this after coming out of the disciplinary hearing at Golden Peacock Hotel in the capital Lilongwe.
When asked to comment on what transpired during the disciplinary hearing, Chazama said she has no powers to comment on the matter.
Other members who are expected to appear before the same committee include; former secretary general Grezelder Jeffrey, former vice-president for the Southern Region Kondwani Nankhumwa.
The four are accused of attending and leading a December 6, 2023 national governing council (NGC) meeting which had no authorisation from party president Peter Mutharika.
