A cholera case was confirmed in Karonga yesterday, detected through tests conducted on samples collected from Mlare on the 19th of this month.
The district’s Director of Health and Social Services, David Sibale, initiated contact tracing to mitigate further risks.
Sibale urged communities to maintain good hygiene, protect water sources, and announced the distribution of chlorine to prevent the disease’s spread.
