In Thyolo district, near Planters Tea Agency (PTA) checkpoint, a motorist struck two traffic police officers from the local police station today.
As a result of the accident, one male officer sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Central hospital, while a female officer was admitted to Thyolo district hospital.
The driver of the vehicle, traveling from Limbe to Thyolo boma, has been arrested in connection with the incident.
The district’s station officer, John Jailos, refrained from providing further details, stating that officers are currently investigating the matter.
