Senior Chief Chulu in Kasungu is set to appear in court on charges of parading a woman naked in public.
The incident occurred at the trade center, where the chief and an accomplice suspected the victim, Ester Kalasa, of having an affair with the chief’s husband.
According to Kasungu police spokesperson, Joseph Kachikho, the incident occurred on March 29, 2022.
The two suspects have been granted police bail and are expected to appear in court on Monday to answer charges of insulting the modesty of the woman.
Senior Chief Chulu, aged 42, and Gift Gerald, aged 20, both hail from Chikwanda village in Kasungu.
