The Malawi Congress Party has described as a sadden news on the resignation of Rev. Maurice Munthali.
This comes only just hours after Munthali announced his resignation on duo roles as National Publicity Secretary for MCP and Presidential advisor on Peace, Reconciliation and National Unity.
In a statement signed by Ezekiel Ching’oma Acting National Publicity Secretary for MCP says Munthali was an asset and they are grateful for his contribution to the party.
Ching’oma has however called on Munthali to bring forward evidence on his allegations of saying that corruption has increased in the country.
According to Ching’oma bringing the evidence will help the country to fight the evil which he says President Chakwera has shown commitment to take head-on.
