Member of Parliament (MP) for Machinga East Esther Jailosi Jolobala has asked the government to also consider women in different programs of government, so that women should be able to benefit from the programs.
Jolobala said she wants women to take part in the country’s projects, since the country has a higher population than men.
It can take years for the country to realize its developing goals because of leaving a woman behind.
“Gender equality should be achieved, women and men should have their own percentage and not putting them together, women should also be taken on board in all activities and in all programs done in Malawi.” She said
Addressing the issue of Affordable Inputs Program (AIP), Jolobala praised the government for considering women in the program they are able to see the number of men and women benefiting from AIP.
