Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates Mary Chilima, a spouse to the country’s Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima is currently in South Africa for medical treatment.
The development comes amid criticisms over her approved bill for the trip which is pegged at Mk312 million, according to the recent leaked document purportedly from the office Secretary to the Office of the President and Cabinet (SPC).
According to inside sources, Chilima’s wife left the country before the said approved bill which is currently in circulation.
The source further revealed that the said Mk312 million is additional money to the medical bills anchored in South Africa.
But the source denied to reveal what exactly Chilima’s wife is suffering from and the name of the hospital where she is receiving treatment.
Meanwhile, some Malawians are blaming the SPC Colleen Zamba over the recent leaked confidential document.
