Karonga District Council has today elected Malawi Congres Party (MCP) councilor, Belliam Msukwa for Mlare Ward as it’s Chairperson.
Msukwa who got 8 votes has won after defeating Councilor Misheck Mwaijengo who got 2 votes.
The Council has also elected Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Councilor Mocachi Chirambo for Khawa Ward as Vice Chairperson after beating Smart Kayira by 11 to 2 votes.
