Yesterday, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested regional governor for the former ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Charles Mchacha.
ACB spokesperson, Egrita Ndala confirmed the development, but refused to explain reasons behind Mchacha’s arrest.
“It is true that the ACB arrested Mr Mchacha, but we cannot give further details about it at the moment,” said Ndala.
Several seniors leaders of the DPP are answering charges of fraud and corruption.
