The state president Dr Lazurus Chakwera has ordered the Ministry of Lands to review all land laws and present a report in Parliament.
Chakwera made the remarks on his second visit to parliament where he answered some of question from members of parliament.
He denounced what he branded lawlessness in land matters, citing growing cases of encroachment of land.
In recent months, Malawi has witnessed conflicts among people on issues of land ownership including recent attack of Kumabli Lodge which was burnt down by locals who claimed the lodge was constructed on a wrong place.
