Regional Governor for Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Christopher Mzomera Ngwira in the north is in court applying for bail.
Earlier today, Ngwira handed himself over to Mzuzu police in connection with the case of the hacking of President Lazarus Chakwera’s bodyguard.
Ngwira is being accompanied by Deputy Director of Operations Joe Nyirongo, who was arrested with other three people.
For the past days the police instituted a manhunt for Ngwira, but he said he was self-isolating hence could not disclose his whereabouts.
