Members of parliament are neglecting the Covid-19 preventive measures placed by the secretariat to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus.
Parliament placed social distancing measures which would allow only one hundred MPs to be in the chamber while the rest participate from alternative chambers.
Legislators from both the opposition and government sides have defied the measures by flocking to the main chamber which was set to accommodate one hundred participants.
 Dowa East MP Richard Chimwendo Banda has described the Covid-19 preventive measures as a total hypocrisy.
