Human Right Defenders Coalition (HRDC) has warned the National Registration Bureau (NRB) against registering minors as the country preparers for fresh Presidential polls as ordered by the constitutional court on February 3, 2020.
The warning comes barely hours after social media was awash with reports that NRB is registering minor is Phalombe ahead of the fresh polls.
Speaking in a media briefing in Lilongwe, HRDC Chairperson for Central Region Billy Mayaya said NRB needs to be monitored, alleging it is already involved in suspicious activities.
Mayaya also alleged that NRB has received about 800 Million Kwacha for unknown operations at a time the country is preparing for a fresh presidential election.
