Airtel Malawi through its brand Airtel Money is reported to have donated K6 million to Malawi Queens in preparation for Fast5 World Series.
According to Airtel Malawi publications and corporate communications manager Edith Tsilizani, while presenting a dummy cheque to Netball Association of Malawi (Nam) president Rose Chinunda, said the donation was presented with an aim of motivating and encouraging Malawi’s sports sensation the Queens Netball squad to continue their hard work.
The Queens are currently camping at Shire Highlands and training at Blantyre Youth Centre.
Henceforth the donation will help caters for local allowances, meals, transportation, T/shirts and other critical needs, said Tsilizani.
