High Court in Blantyre on Friday granted an injunction to 15 District Commissioners (DCs) against Ministry of Local Government decision to demote them.
According to information gathered by FaceofMalawi, Ministry of Local Government demoted 15 and Administration Officers claiming that their positions did not exist in the civil service.
But the DCs rushed to Court to seek relief on the matter.
The 15 DCs were promoted by the previous government under President Dr. Joyce Banda.
Some of the DCs who have been affected by the development include; DC for Chiradzulu James Manyetera, DC for Nkhotakota James Kanyangalazi, DC for Salima Rev Moses Chimphepo and DC for Mulanje Jack Ngulube.
